New to NISD or MTSS: Academics? This session was created for you! The purpose of MTSS: Academicis to identify students who are struggling in school and ensure each child who is identified receives the right instruction or intervention to be successful. In this session, you will learn how to create a proactive process to identify students who need help, place them in the proper intervention, monitor their progress, revise interventions as needed, and determine when students no longer need additional support. (Secondary only)

In this session, you can learn or get a refresher on the adminstration of mCLASS. We will also dive into tips and tricks for getting the most out of the assessment. This session is open to anyone who wants to learn more about the assessment and the tools available in the mCLASS suite.

In this dynamic and interactive session, educators will embark on a transformative journey to enhance their mentorship and leadership skills, with a focus on engaging strategies to empower future educators through the Teaching and Training mentor/intern program. Drawing upon best practices and real-world experiences, this session will empower educators to unleash their potential as mentors and leaders in the field of education. Participants will leave feeling inspired, equipped, and ready to engage with student interns in a way that fosters their professional growth, while also enriching their own teaching practice.
Participants will explore the essential elements of effective mentorship, including fostering positive relationships, providing constructive feedback, and promoting self-efficacy and independence in student interns. They will delve into communication techniques to facilitate meaningful dialogue and collaboration, as well as strategies for creating a supportive learning environment that nurtures growth and development

Who doesn't love a Win-Win? Strategies that benefit both students and teachers! Find out how pretests provide instructional guidance for teachers and enhance learning opportunities for students.

Participants will engage in problem solving strategies that will support mathematical thinking, discourse, and writing. Problem solving models and essential components of Problem Solving Block will be discussed. Participants will dive in to a rich task that allows for the productive struggle necessary to grapple with and communicate about mathematics.

Participants will explore our Stepping Stones digital resource with our curriculum experts! We will explore the different channels available to you and provide the support you need to successfully implement its many features to bring math instruction to life!
