In Our Binder Era- Making Notebooks Work For You
We started using binders as notebooks with our sixth grade science classes to save time cutting, gluing, etc. and be able to help them FIX those hot mess notebook disasters that some inevitably wind up with. We are happy to share our tips, tricks, thoughts, and ideas to help you get your kids organized along with the mistakes and pit-falls we have discovered so that you can avoid them! Building Number Sense with Your Students
Learn some fun, low prep ways to build number sense and fact fluency with your math students! Join us to build up your number sense arsenal. We will explore ideas that are low prep, great for early finishers, and/or could be used for whole class instruction. This session will be mostly geared toward upper elementary/middle school students, but other grade levels could benefit or adapt the games/practices as necessary.

Cross-curricular social studies
One of the biggest challenges in making meaningful learning is helping students see cross-curricular application of skills. In this session we are going to help demonstrate easy methods can be used to help incorporate social studies into math and ELA and visa versa. We will be using the 6th grade world cultures warm-ups used at Worthington for the 23-24 school year as a model for how you can offer students the chance to practice without having to radically rewrite your lesson plans!
