The purpose of MTSS: Academicis to identify students who are struggling in school and ensure each child who is identified receives the right instruction or intervention to be successful. In this session, you will learn how to create a proactive process to identify students who need help, place them in the proper intervention, monitor their progress, revise interventions as needed, and determine when students no longer need additional support. With Canvas being a major district platform as well as a potentially convenient resource for teachers, students and parents, let's take a look at how you can make it work for YOU in a variety of ways. We will take a look at some potential options for ease of use, both for teachers as well as students and parents. We will also demonstrate how we can use Canvas features to create activities and quizzes that will grade themselves, allow students to check their work, AND allow familiarity with some of the new item types students are seeing on the EOC. Bring a fully charged laptop so we can create a sandbox course and get you started!

We will also explore the functionalities of the Desmos calculator and how it can support mathematical exploration.

Participants will learn how to diagnose bow and instrument issues, how to fix easy issues in-house, and when it's time to send the bow to the repair shop.
