Join us as we explore the concept of interactive notebooking and how it can be utilized to enhance student engagement, encourage creativity, and foster a sense of ownership in their learning process. We will focus specifically on the use of novelty notebooks as a tool to promote student choice and provide opportunities for personalized expression within the classroom.
The session will be about the importance of hands on manipulatives needed for the first grading period. Then, it will be set up in stations where the educators will create make and takes that support the curriculum and what will be covered in the first grading period. We are setting them up for success by being proactive.
We will be taking a look at the two most common approaches to behavior management, and we will be introducing a new philosophy with strategies you can implement in your classroom today! Learn how to create behavior goal setting with your students, and watch as it transforms their mindset (and yours)!
Participants will identify and describe the different types of GT learners, connect it to perfectionism, and learn strategies to manage toxic perfectionism for each type.
Experience 7th grade curriculum-embedded ADI labs firsthand during this interactive session. Gain insights into your students' perspectives as you participate in the labs, helping you better understand their needs and plan dynamic learning experiences.
The last thing a newer teacher has time for is reading all the great cornerstone texts on classroom management, engagement, and effective planning and instruction, so we're bringing you the CliffsNotes version! We have pared down some of the most valuable (but lengthy) reads to the top teacher moves, aiming to equip you with high-leverage strategies and best practices for a smoother school year and a safe and efficient student-centered classroom. *Note: modified/abbreviated sessions will be offered during Welcome Home as well.
