A look at government and community agencies and resources for students with Special Education support and their caregivers, beyond K-12.

In this session, you can learn or get a refresher on the adminstration of mCLASS. We will also dive into tips and tricks for getting the most out of the assessment. This session is open to anyone who wants to learn more about the assessment and the tools available in the mCLASS suite.

Participants will use student assessment data to analyze instructional practices and make necessary adjustments that improve student outcomes. High Leverage Practices #4, 5, 11, and 12 will be addressed. (this session is offered on multiple dates) * Required (if not taken earlier in the summer)

Learners will gain a basic understanding of legal framework surrounding Transition Plans for Special Education students and enhance their ability to craft impactful plans by exploring the 4 Core Components of IEP Transition Plans. (This session is offered on multiple dates.)

Participants will embark on a comprehensive journey into the legal framework surrounding the educational rights of students with disabilities. Participants will gain a nuanced understanding of the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) as dictated by law, delving into instructional settings ranging from the least to the most restrictive. Additionally, we will dissect the intricate procedures governing changes in placement, with a specific focus on the transition to self-contained classrooms. Join us as we navigate the complexities of LRE, ensuring every student's educational needs are met with diligence and equity. High Leverage Practices #1, 3, 6, 7, 16, and 20 will be addressed.

Participants will delve into a presentation on cultivating effective professional learning communities (PLCs) where collaboration with professionals and families drives student success. Discover strategies for planning impactful meetings that maximize time and resources while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Learn how to effectively analyze data within PLCs to tailor interventions and instructional approaches, supporting student growth and achievement. High Leverage Practices #1, 2, and 3 will be addressed.
